Finally a fantastically designed spike protector!
5 out of 5 found the following review helpful

Pros: For over ten years I have struggled with spike holders slipping and sliding around and not being the right length for me. I saw my cellist friend using a 'Cellino floor protector' a few months ago and knew I had to get one right away - and the sold them at a reasonable price and are very reliable with orders and deliveries. It has been a life-saver - you can adjust it to absolutely any length needed and it NEVER slips. It is a great design! As it is very small when wrapped up it is no hassle to carry around everywhere - unlike it's wooden alternatives.

Cons: It sometimes gets in a tangle. If you are doing a concert/competition and someone else has to set up your chair and spike holder then you have to explain very carefully how it works otherwise you have to take time correcting it when you get there!

Excellent in every way

Pros: I bought this because my original "black hole" floor protector sometimes slips on polished floors. The Cellino is the perfect solution. It's wonderfully compact - takes up minimal room in the cello case. It is quick and easy to adjust and holds the cello securely. It fits almost any chair - with clever hooks for chairs that don't have individual legs to loop the string round. I love the easy adjustment - just pull on the strings to lengthen or shorten, but stays securely in place when in use.

Cons: It does take a minute or so to unwind the strings and hook them up to the chair. I still prefer a "black hole" on non-slippery floors - just drop it on the floor and you're done. But I can easily fit the cellino in the case as well, to use when I really need it, and floors too slippery for a black hole are common. If I only had one type, the Cellino would be it.

Other: Read the instructions carefully on how best to wind up the strings for storage. It's easy when you know how and completely eliminates tangles.

a very useful device.

Pros: Small and easy to store.

Cons: Where the cord goes around the chair leg, some PVC tube or similar may help. This would prevent the cord being pulled or trapped under the leg.

compact, fully adjustable and 100% reliable

Pros: I absolutely love this product. It is so small but so effictive, much more so than anything else I have used in the past. In fact when I bought this I had been determined to go back to the wooden endpin stops that hook onto the chair leg. It's incredibly easy to adjust and fits any chair and so compact. I would recomend it to anyone.

Cons: I dont really see any cons with this at all.

Pros: It stays put!! Totally reliable and comfortable to use

Cons: Strings make it a little difficult to move your chair once in position without getting tangled. But with a bit of practice it's OK

Other: Very happy with this as a solution to slipping spikes!

Neat and effective but could be improved

Pros: Small, neat, easy to carry. Attaches to both chair legs which many don't.

Cons: A little too much give in the string, so it doesn't feel quite secure

Other: I would think a higher grade string would offer an improvement.

Compact and reliable.

Pros: When wrapped up, this is neat, and it provides a secure resting point.

Cons: A little fiddly to get to grips with, but worth the effort.

Other: Make sure you have it the right side up, and the right way round. A little arrow or dot might be good to orientate it correctly.
