Chrome wound on steel

Pros: Warm sound
Cons: Slightly dull compared to the Jargar A which I like a lot. Compared to the A it has less sound and feels dead (it could be because I have a cheap cello). I'm trying a Spirocore as a replacement.
Other: If you're having problems with harsh or strident D then this would be a good choice. On my cheaper cello I think it needs a string with more power.

Pros: Good tone; needed hardly anty 'playing in'
Other: This is one of a set of A&D Jarger and G&C silver sound which String Zone helpfully put together to match the existing set. So far this is the only one I have needed to use.
