The original Jargar string, now called Jargar Classic. Set of 4 strings. Steel on steel core. Ever popular, long standing 'old style' cello string.
The Classic string is made of a flexible steel core which gives it the warm and brilliant Jargar sound. They are the result of nearly 60 years tradition of hand made cello strings developed by a cellist to cellists. The Classic strings produce a warm and powerful tone. Their playability, sound qualities and durability has made them the perfect choice for both amateurs and professionals for nearly 60 years.

Pros: Love these strings! I have a cheap student cello, that came with horrible strings and was basically unplayable even for a beginner. As soon as I put these strings on, the whole instrument changed! Now it's a very playable cello, that I am confident I can use for studying for a long time.

Teacher's favourite!
Pros: Having my 'A' string snap was my first string-related incident and sadly I have no experience of playing with many other strings to compare. BUT I ordered these because they are my teacher's favourites! When I had replaced my 'A' string she commented how much sweeter it sounded compared to the (presumably cheaper) string supplied with my cello....
