Pros: Beautiful and clear tone and great projection.
Cons: On my cello, it seems to stand out slightly from the other Magnacore strings but this could be that it was bought quite some time after the rest of the set and I had found a smoother range offered with the older Larsen D (in unison with the A, G and C Magnacore's)

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very disappointing all round. Dead and bland sound compared to the non-metal alternatives I usually use.
Other: I was tempted to try this since I absolutely love the Arioso lower strings. I generally dislike metal upper strings, and my experience with this example did nothing to change my mind. If I had known when ordering that Larsen are planning to release Arioso A and D strings I would have waited to try them instead of the medium, but after this experience I don't think I'll bother.
