Package confusion
Pros: Good quality string but I do not know if it is medium (thread colour) or high tension (package information). I suspect it is medium but it is much better than the original one on the viola.
Cons: The string package stated high tension but the thread colour was for medium tension. I only noticed once I started tensioning the string! Hence the viola 4 star rating.
Other: Check that package details and string thread colour code match.

Pros: This string has a good 'woody' tone alongside a direct action and strong projection. I was recommended to try a Larsen/Spirocore combination for D and G towards achieving that 'perfect' viola sound. So far I like the way it feels to play and its sound.
Cons: Takes about 3 days to settle its tuning.
