Pros: Bought it for my violin but has proved perfect for my viola. It has a lower profile than the Fleisch and clears the tailpiece. It is ideal for the viola as it brings the arm through and offers a more comfortable playing position.
Cons: None apart from the fact it is presented as a violin chin rest but is wonderful as a viola rest.

Pros: Good shape, nicely made and not too high, nor as large as the Flesch. I bought this to replace a Wittner centrally mounted chinrest which didn't do anything for the looks of my violin.
Cons: None.

Pros: Fits my chin perfectly, allows my head to be over the tail-piece so that I have better 'contact' with the violin. It looks good on my violin. The contour is very smooth and doesn't cause jaw ache like some central rests.
Cons: When first fitted it pushed down on the tail-piece. The tunnel under the chinrest isn't cut deep enough or long enough. I solved this using 2 cork pads to raise the rest higher but it took me some time to make them just the right thickness and cut them to fit the rest feet. It would have saved me a lot of time if two 1mm thick pads of cork had been included with the rest to raise it. I think other people have had this same problem. I would welcome a set of spacers if you have some.

Pros: Good quality, For me, this centre rest feels more comfortable than the conventional side rest. I took to it right away without any feeling that there was a re-adjustment in my hold.
Cons: I can't think of anything technical that I don't like. The problem with all these rests is that you dont know it works for you until you try it and even then, you have to persist.

Pros: Quite small, but big enough: dimensions as stated in the description. It fits perfectly over the tailpiece of the fiddle in question.
Cons: None
Other: This is very similar (but not absolutely identical) to the New Flesch chinrest we bought from thestringzone a few years ago. (The chinrest now sold as the New Flesch is now sourced from GEWA and is much bigger and thicker). This is more unobtrusive, but seems to do the job if you like a centre chinrest.
