Brilliant, but short lived.
Pros:
It is such a nice and warm string. I've been told it sounds like a nightingale when I play it.
Cons:
Life of the string is very short, unfortunately. It lasts maybe a month at the most.

just what I was after for this price range.

goes well with dominants on other strings. Didn't find it squeaky, a nice e string.

all in above as unified review
Pros:
Perhaps it is psychological. Playing on a violin E string coated with gold reassures from the outset of a quality guaranteed to instill a confidence coming out of the mind before anything enters the ear! But from the very first note objectivity reigns. The sound is broader, some might use the term 'thicker', certainly cleaner, even silkier with good projection. Be prepared to fall in love.
However, a thicker gauge (27mm) 'may' tend to dampen resonance. And please, those loop ends do beware snap all too easily. Always use a ball end, they have a hollow centre to facilitate attachment. The string blends with many other quality string makes for trueness, but as the gold coating wears, noticeably of course at the nut end, the string's trueness is quickly compromised and may even become false. But that is going to be the nature of a relatively soft outer coating. Pray that the world gold price slumps or buy several NOW.

Delighted with product and service
Pros:
Delighted with performance, especially as my violin is certainly not a superior instrument, just a standard German " Stradivarius".
Cons:
Nothing
Other:
Very happy about The String Zone service and pricing
