* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
A universal string of great quality suitable all types of instrument and player standard Obligato strings sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range

Very good for use at a high level
Pros: - settle very quickly - rich, sonorous tone - retains sound quality for a long time - good sensitivity to bow pressure etc - very stable in climate changes - great for both orchestral use and solo performances
Cons: There really aren't any cons, apart from with all Pirastro strings, I find the binding a little too thick as the D string hole of my tailpiece is slightly narrower (due to the age of the instrument). It's a bit of a pain as I'm always having to modify the ball and binding myself to fit, which sometimes takes a long time.
Other: On my previous German violin I didn't particularly like the Obligato strings as they didn't project very well so I always used Evah Pirazzi, but since using my current slightly smaller English violin - I found that Obligato are much better. It really depends on your violin and personal preference as to which is better, but both sets are great

Maintain lovely warm tone for good length of time
Pros: I like the warm sound of Obilgato strings; they suit my violin. I find they take a few days to settle to pitch but once there they behave very well. They maintain their warm tone for a good length of time before they become duller and need to be replaced. The steel E has been fine and does not whistle.
Cons: Nothing
Other: Excellent service and quick delivery time. It's nice being able to place orders over the phone.

Obligato string review
Pros: Great strings they are bright, responsive mellow when you want and loud when needed
Cons: This is my third set my only gripe is that the A string has unwound around lower D on both sets.
Other: Good Company always got the strings next day

Excellent strings for orchestral players/
Pros: Swiftly played in. Incisive tone without being overbearing. Long lasting. Stay in tune. Never had any problems with String Zone.
Cons: Can be had a bit cheaper elsewhere.
Other: I quite like to specify a gold E string.
