To check your instrument size measure the length of the back (LOB) excluding the 'button' which is the thumb shaped extension at the top where the neck is anchored. Old instruments can vary, if more than 1/2" over choose the next size up.

Pros: It's a string that provides a strong tone and lasts
Cons: I haven't noticed any cons as it is the same reliable quality as previous purchases but for some reason this time the string came (along with other properly packaged strings) in a plastic zip bag rather than the usual paper wallet??? No effect on the string but kinda strange, all strings were in one envelope anyway.

A great string at a sensible price.
Pros: A sensible price for a good string. It doesn’t feel that different under the fingers to Pirastro’s more expensive offerings.
Cons: Generally I don’t like my strings to be coiled…so we shall see if that effects their long term performance.

Does exactly what it says.
Pros: These strings PIRASTRO are excellent and have a good tonal response for playing traditional music, and are very reasonably priced I use them all the time,and have had no problems at any time with them.
Cons: None whatsoever
Other: THE STRING ZONE,are a excellent company to order from,,very polite &knowledgeable ,and deliver a first class service.
