High versions of the Teka chinrest in ebony only. The chinrest area itself is also larger than the standard model.
Specifications
- 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Standard Teka is 25mm. Height is maximum from base to highest point of the chinrest edge.

Pros: After much hunting, I'm glad I came across The String Zone, as they are the only one that will ship this high version of the Teka rest to Australia! This product is exactly what I expected - the Teka shape, simply raised. It has been great for helping tweak my setup for maximum comfort.

Pros: A couple of my pupils now have the 40 mm high chin rest. If a player has a long neck this is much more comfortable than having a higher shoulder rest. It takes the violin down nearer to the shoulder, so the right arm does not need to lift too high. It ensures that the violin rests on the collarbone for stability.
Cons: There is no choice of model in the high chin rest category.

Pros: Good quality and well made chin rest, smooth to the touch and comfortable.
Cons: As this was a trial to see if I would like a chin rest this high, I was not thrilled. Nothing to do with the product but it's just to high. If you use it without a shoulder rest, it will be more or less ok. Otherwise you need to put the shoulder rest quite low. So it's personal preference thing and not a product issue.

Pros: good delivery and return
Cons: Unfortunately I had to send this back- the height was ok but the volume and density of the wood unexpectedly act as a kind of mute / muffler and the tone of my instrument was immediately impaired significantly. Good service/ delivery and refund though! :-)
