Longtime customer

Pros: I have been using Wolf Forte Primo rests for over 30 years. This is the 3rd one I have bought - not as a replacement but because some perfomances require me to play 2 violins with no opportunity to swap rests. Of all the rests on the market, Wolf has the highest adjustment that I have found.

Cons: As I move a lot whilst playing, the reat sometimes comes away from the instrument. The addition of a band of hook & look around the posts has cured the problem.

Great shoulder rest if you have a long neck

Pros: I needed a rest that would adjust quite high as I have a long neck and despite trying a number of other types none of them gave me much comfort when playing. The improvement in comfort for me was immediate, being able to practice for longer stretches without neck strain is great.

Cons: The fit on the fiddle can feel a little loose although it does not fall off.

Ideal for taller people

Pros: Ideal for a tall teenager or adult, the extensions are especially useful.

Cons: Nothing really

Other: Only suitable for those tall or long necked individuals.
