A good case requiring minor improvements.
6 out of 7 found the following review helpful

Pros: Lightness. Ease of portability and comfortable on the back when cycling. Generally very pleased with this case. They look good quality close up and the exterior/interior is every bit as smart as one would expect from a good case.

Cons: The accessories pocket is too small to carry more than basic essentials and though there are elasticated holders for pencils I prefer to access such oft-needed tools from the accessories pocket rather than delving into the inside pockets. It is also slightly top heavy, which necessitates the need to keep one foot on the case when removing the violin to prevent it toppling over unless positioned on a chair to open and pack away. There is also a hydrometer positioned where the curves of the violin sit snug around and care has to be taken to not scratch or knock the instrument when removing it from the case. Small niggles in an otherwise excellent case.

Pros: 1. Putting the music pocket on the bottom of the case instead of the top means that the case doesn't overbalance when you open it. There are also plenty of other pockets. 2. The bows are held in a new mechanism that is excellent 3. The whole case, including the fastenings and catches, feels solid, secure and well-made and yet the case as a whole is very light.

Cons: There is nothing to dislike about it.

Other: I have been delighted by the case. It is smart and stylish, and has attracted a lot of admiring comments.

Awesome case!!! Would recommend to everyone.

Pros: Absolutely awesome case!! Would recommend to everyone. Extremely light weight, space for everything including your shoulder rest. Gorgeous looking!!

Cons: Looks a little large so airlines may get nervous about you taking in on board if the flight is full. We had no problems though with flights if they were not full.

Nice case, but serious problem with strap loops
2 out of 3 found the following review helpful

Pros: This case is light and stylish. and a few of my colleagues have purchased the same case as a result of spotting mine.

Cons: The shoulder strap attachment loops are not strong enough. One of them became strayed after just over a year. I don't keep anything heavy in the case, so it's a design fault, and sadly I can't recommend this case until the manufactures sort out this problem. Thestringzone kindly paid for the repair, and now the other three loops are becoming strayed. Unfortunately thestringzone is not replying to my emails regarding this anymore (I only asked if they could contact the manufacturer on my behalf), so I'll try my luck contacting the manufacturer directly myself. My colleagues, not surprisingly, are having the same problem as me. I bought this case specifically so I can carry the case on my back. I can't do this now, in case one of the straps falls off, and damages my violin.

Best. Case. Ever.
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: I love this case. It is lightweight, compact, and very functional. It has an outside pocket large enough to accommodate an oversized, orchestral folder, another to fit smaller music folders, and yet another to fit any pencils, stand lights, and music clips you may need. It is the perfect size.

Cons: I like everything about it.

OK for cycling but compromise on storage space.
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Pretty good design for cycling, especially if you wear it upside down! Rucksack straps in right place either way up but high viz and curves wrong if you use it with grab handle at top. Great choice of colours!!!

Cons: No space inside case for packets of strings. Music pocket curved on top edge so you have to fold large music - also, it could be fatter - a tight squeeze sometimes.

Other: Struggle to use magnetic catch so it stands up unzipped by my side during rehearsals. Zip a tiny bit sticky - quick getaways not always possible!!!

Delightful case.
1 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: Elegant, stylish and great attention to detail. Fantastic music pocket fitting scores - on bottom of case so never unbalanced. Bow fixing a joy.love that blanket is attached to case. Subway handle is very comfy.lovely snug fit for violin- the kneck strap is soft and secure. As my mum used to say " a place for everything and everything in its place".

Cons: Nothing to say - except that I'd like one for all my instruments, but will have to save up (again)!

Other: I've never been on the receiving end of case envy. I think these cases sell themselves.

2 out of 4 found the following review helpful

Pros: Smart well balanced case. It is great that the music pocket is under the case, so it doesn't fall over when you are carrying music. Well made. Everything fits in well. lOVE IT!!

Other: Delighted with this case. It is smart, more stylish than most. Light but strong and well made. Top section is perfect for your glasses if needed so you always have them in a emergency!! Girls, you could keep your make up in there too, or your phone. All in all it is FANTASTIC

A very good buy
1 out of 3 found the following review helpful

Pros: It is a very well thought out design. Light, stylish, easy to carry.

Cons: The bottom pocket is not quite big enough for an e string packet. Minor worry is that if the zip goes, there isn't a back up catch.
