Similar to Dominant, but with a plain steel E, these strings have good response and a bright, clean sound. All ball end. Made in France

Fab, happy with these as always!
Pros:
I like these strings - the price is the same as Dominants (sometimes cheaper!) but the quality of sound isn't so metallic. I always use them.
Cons:
They're a bit beyond the price range of total beginners like some of my pupils (£28 a set seems a lot to them, they'd rather pay £2 for a crummy replacement string that sounds harsh).

A good replacement for old metal strings.
Pros:
These really make a difference - I had metal strings on this (early 1900's?) German fiddle for traditional music, but have been using modern synthetic strings on my "best" fiddle and have decided I prefer the sound. For the price, they're excellent.
Cons:
I haven't found anything I don't like about them yet.
Other:
I wanted these to replace some old metal strings on an old violin that belonged to my grandfather, to see if the sound could be improved.

Rich, mellow and responsive
Pros:
I play folk music on a German violin which is over 120 years old and the Corelli Crystal strings work very well for me indeed. They are very responsive and the sound is rich and mellow without any dullness. They take a little longer than the Jager strings I used to use to settle in, but they then hold their tuning extremely well. They last well and the price is very reasonable.
Cons:
No negative aspects in my opinion.

Mellow sound but not bright.
Pros:
They're not too expensive.
Cons:
I was recommended these strings but actually found them disappointing. They don't have the brightness that I was hoping for. Some players may prefer the mellowness though!
