Description

Uniquely created for antique violins, this set offers the tonal characteristics of Brilliants, but with exceptional playability and response needed for antique violins.

Fractionally lower tension than the brilliant set, but not to be confused with a full "low Tension"

Excellent response in all dynamic ranges, including pianissimo.

These strings enable older instruments to shine with a natural sound. They have a brilliant, warm and focused sound despite their lower tension.

Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Keen Amateur

The brighter sound I was after.

Pros: Only recently put strings on do yet to fully test.

Cons: Somewhat frustrated that the D string is too thick to fit into the tailpiece slot - thicker than the G!!. So have to find a replacement. Not ideal!
