These strings will transform the sound of 'school' violins strung with poor quality Chinese strings. Excellent tone and tuning stability.
To check your instrument size measure the length of the back (LOB) excluding the 'button' which is the thumb shaped extension at the top where the neck is anchored. Old instruments can vary, if more than 1/2" over choose the next size up.

Pros: None
Cons: Really disappointed I bought these strings. I bought the vision strings earlier for a quarter size violin which were great and had a really good tone. Bought these strings for a half size violin as a friend commented that both prelude and vision were basically the same, but they aren't at all. The vision are so much better so would recommend buying these and not the prelude.
