Loud and tough

Pros: Loud and reliable ,

Cons: Lacks flexibility and is tough - therefore it reduces the possibility of changing tone colours with subtle bow strokes - it can be too unsubtle for fine old italian instruments

Other: Only the A string is within a sensible price range - the d a g are way too expensive .
