Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

Nice bright sound but without longevity

Pros: I really like the bright sound of the Evah Pirazzi strings and have used these strings for a while now (except my E string)

Cons: I find the brightness doesn't tend to last the life of the string. They are not especially hard wearing.

Other: The most recent string I have bought from String Zone was faulty, it was already worn at the base of the string and was therefore no good and had to be returned. I have therefore decided that this is a good time to have a change!

Great strings. Great service.

Pros: Strong string which really gets everything going. Quick reponse and gorgeous tone.

Cons: Can be a bit heavy on older instruments and cause a nasal tone, strangled! Best on good strong violins.

Other: A wonderful service from string zone. Willing to replace items which are less than perfect.

great string but I ordered the wrong one

Pros: I made a mistake and it should have been obligato - but it holds its tuning and sound ok with the others

Cons: a bit too much treble when in place with the obligato strings - i will have to buy correct one!!!

Other: the string zone is a great site - saves so much on the shop prices and they so rarely have fresh strings of all the types

Pirazzi is the way!
3 out of 6 found the following review helpful

Pros: Will create a nice mellow tone for folk fiddle, or something a little brighter for classical violin-playing.

Cons: Will disintegrate over time! Not the most long-lasting string available.

Other: Have been using these strings for a while now; not the first time I have bought them. Originally had Pirazzi Strings fitted by a violin-maker as part of my instrument's service and have never looked back. Simply fantastic strings, wouldn't go any other way/recommend anything else.
