Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

Bright, sweet sounding strings.

Pros: I just started using these strings. (I didn't buy the E because I like a wrapped one.) They settled in quickly, and have remained very stable. The overall sound on my violin is bright and sweet. They have a whole range of overtones which other synthetic strings lack, at least those I have used. There is plenty of volume, and it's possible to get a good dynamic range, as they respond well to light bowing. It's too early to see how well they will wear andmaintain their tone, but I like them so far.

Cons: None

Other: They really are quite bright, and if you catch an adjacent string it's easy to get a 'whistle'. I am finding you have to bow cleanly to keep the sound focussed. Some other strings are more forgiving.

mixed review
1 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: good tone in higher positions, settles quickly

Cons: Can sometimes randomly squeak played as an open string and seems to have a thinner tone quality than I remember from many years ago. This is a particular problem with my violin on the E string and the reason that I can't use this make of E stings, however this particular A string started producing this problem too.

Expensive but worth it.

Pros: Avery smooth sound with plenty of volume

Cons: Maybe lacks fullness

Thicker string makes overall sound more balanced.

Pros: Solved a 'dead spot' around E flat on the A string I was experiencing with the normal Evah Pirazzi, while mixing well with the other normal tension E.P. strings. Not harsh-sounding, either, and no problems with stability of tuning across different temperatures - these strings are really very good and lasting longer than I expected.

Cons: None

good but more fragile than other brands I've used

Pros: good sound

Cons: Bought 2 of these A strings. I like them but my previous, identical, absolutely new, A string only lasted 3 weeks. If these new ones break after a similar period I wont buy them again, despite the quality sound.

Worth trying Evah Pirazzi!

Pros: I started with a full set of Obligato violin strings and decided to experiment with an Evah Pirazzi A string as an alternative. They are the same price and a similar composition. I have been extremely impressed with the Evah Pirazzi as it gives me a smoother and, dare I say, a more beautiful sound than the Obligato but has all the other positive features of both strings. I intend to move exclusively to Evah Pirazzi when the opportunity arises. Both types are eminently more practical than the Oliv strings I once had as they lose their tuning too rapidly for the sort of playing I do.

Cons: None

Good strings subject to wear.

Pros: Good strings which stay in tune, This was a repeat order.

Cons: I play a lot and the lower strings wear through the outer wire binding after heavy use, As soon as this happens, the string is unserviceable. In view of the use I give them, this is probably fair wear and tear. I have never had one of these strings break.

Other: Good delivery service from The String Zone.

More than just a string!

Pros: An improvement on the Dominant string previously used. String bought to solve a sound problem on the A string. It didn't solve the problem, which is now being deal with by a luthier!

Cons: Taken time to 'bed in' and keep its tuning

Other: Arrived quickly and the price was the most competitive on the internet - eBay included.
