Pros: Previously I was using a Pirastro Permanent. By contrast this string has a warm softer sound and is clear and clean (although that maybe because the string I took off was simply worn out.
Cons: I'm not really sure about volume or power in the upper registers. It seems hard to generate a big sound once you are above top C (i.e. the C above middle c)
Other: Contrary to what others have written I found it took a couple of weeks to play in.

I love it!

Pros: The Passione has a beautiful singing tone. For my cello the strong sounds best as it has more of a core to the sound.
Cons: Well it would be great if it lasted longer.............but it's no worse than others.
Other: I love it.

A good string for mellowing a bright instrument

Pros: The string has a nice dark tone which mellows my very bright instrument and blends in well in the orchestra, while having a bit more power than the Jargar Dolce that I was using previously. Response is very quick.
Cons: No particular issues.

Pros: its great lovely dark sound easy to create different types of sound /colour etc
Cons: not quite as strong as my previous Bel canto A
Other: My aim was to make the A less bright - as it was 'sticking' out too much. I look forward to hearing what it sounds like when I do another recording. (fingers crossed)
