Pros: The main reason for this case is that it's super light and doesn't heat up as much, so I bought this to use this in the hotter months. I also like the fact it is silver so hopefully will help deflect some of the heat when walking out in the sun. This is my second case, the other is the GEWA Idea, which is also light, but I feel like that has better thermal insulation, and works better in the cooler months. The GEWA case is carbon fibre, metal and a dark grey so I felt like it was overheating in the summer. So while the BAM contour is lighter and possibly better for summer, it doesn't have the best insulation for the winter. So I am glad I purchased this case.

Cons: The latches don't feel as robust so I'll just need to be gentle. Also, the straps were quite long so I switched them for the GEWA straps which sit a bit higher on my shoulders, which help my posture when walking, or on public transport when you are likely to bump into people. Also, it does not come with a violin blanket, but luckily I had one from the other case. The case it quite snug inside, so I think it needs one so prevent the bow from scratching.

Other: Overall a great no frills case, does the job and certainly robust, but perhaps better for summer or warmer climates. You may want to find a blanket separately.
