Pros: Bought this mute to double as a wolf note suppressor for the G string - sits between bridge and tail piece when not being used as a mute. Does the job!

Pros: Very effective and good value for the price - sits either on one string or between 2 middle strings. Easy to slide on and off bridge and doesn't rattle when not in use.

Best mute for orchestra playing

Pros: Very nice for orchestra play, easy to put on and off. A bit lighter than the traditional tourte mute but better because it does not make any noise when sitting on the string. I leave mine on the violin all the time.

Cons: Not a strong mute, this is not a practicing mute. Quite small so easy to loose.

Pros: These are lovely as little presents for pupils.

Cons: They only clip on one side, so may get lost more easily than the classic tourte mute - I wouldn't know for sure, though!
