* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
High Quality synthetic core strings. Hydronalium on synthetic core.
Ametyst strings offer a pure and focused sound which is brighter than Karneol. They will improve the sound of all levels of violins. For a bright and focused sound.
To check your instrument size measure the length of the back (LOB) excluding the 'button' which is the thumb shaped extension at the top where the neck is anchored. Old instruments can vary, if more than 1/2" over choose the next size up.
4/4 - LOB 356mm (14")
3/4 - LOB 330mm (13")
1/2 - LOB 305mm (12")
1/4 - LOB 280mm (11")
1/8 - LOB 254mm (10")
Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Well worth trying.

found the following review helpful
Pros: I like them. This is my second set. They settle in quickly, last longer than other popular brands, the sound from each string is well balanced and they have just the right amount of brilliance for my violin.
Cons: None
Other: The E-string sometimes 'whistles' but now I am convinced that it is my technique that needs more attention. The E-string needs a more focused touch - especially when crossing from the A-string to the E-string at speed.

nice strings must try
Pros: really smooth under he fingers makes shfting in high positions much easier , just beautiful strings . good if u have a dark sounding instrument which needs brighter tone
Cons: for some can be to bright espcially the A string , i used kareonl too which are also very good but bit warmer espcially on the A string
Other: overall im very impressed ans i will use them all the time
