A good bow for a progressing learner.

Pros: A good replacement bow for my daughter, who is around grade 5 level. It arrived well packaged and intact, good service. Makes a fuller sound than the bow that came with her violin.

Cons: None

A good intermediate bow from an efficient supplier

Pros: Nicely balanced bow, good feel, good quality. It replaces a bow that came with the cheap violin I've been using, but this new carbon fibre bow has made a big difference to my sound, even using the same cheap violin! The String Zone's service is exceptional. I couldn't believe how fast it was, and how quickly I received my bow after placing my order online. The packaging was very efficient and I was super-impressed with the company and its service.

Cons: It's quite expensive, but on the whole worth it. When you tension the bow, the hairs seem much closer to the 'wood' than they were on my old bow. Just something to get used to, I think.

Other: Please see my comments on the exceptionally efficient service provided by this company.

Pros: Nice feeling

Cons: Unite a few hairs out already with vigorous playing.

Other: I had already bought the viola version and really liked that.

What a difference a bow makes!
0 out of 3 found the following review helpful

Pros: Well balanced Produces a good tone This was a Christmas present so have only just started playing with it but it seems an all round improvement on my previous beginners bow. I play folk and dance tunes and my playing feels much more positive

Cons: none

Other: I have needed to use a lot of rosin initially as the bow was slipping on the strings after a couple of tunes but is now improving and staying on
