Description

Corelli Solea strings represent the newest offering from Savarez Corelli orchestral strings. More than 3 years of research led them to the discovery of new raw materials. Used in precisely calculated proportions, these new raw materials have created a new very playable string texture. A new sound proposition and exceptional playing quality has now become reality, with the new Solea range of strings for violin.

Under the bow, the string flexibility gives a comfortable ease of play, while still offering the required string resistance under the fingers. The perfectly adjusted string stiffness makes them ideally suited for a swift response and facilites a large range of nuances within the expanded color spectrum, and a perfect sound emission from pianissimo to fortissimo.

Volume regularity, density and harmonics, are present from the lowest positions to the highest, throughout the entire length of the fingerboard.

The E string is made from a slightly more flexible steel with high grade of carbon content. The brilliant sound is not aggressive and allows an enlarged range of nuances even when played with strong attack.

The wound A, D and G strings are made in a combination of very new, innovative metals. The double layers of these new raw materials surround a synthetic multifilament core whose elasticity and density have been designed to give a rich and bright sound.

It should be noted that the Forte set has only a slight increase in tension, making them less aggressive , or bright , than is usual in a High tension string, thus making them ideal for players requiring just a 'little' more boost .

Best yet and the final choice after 30 years.

Pros: Light under the touch both left and right fingers. Very quick bow response and wide rich sound. The E string is very bright and resonant with G and B notes in first position. This is my present and future choice of strings. Previous choice was the Jargar Evoke which was the upgrade from Jargar Classic.

Cons: Nothing to comment on; put on for Christmas 2025 so will report later on in the year.

Other: The recommended rosin Gustave Bernardel is a dream come true; very easy to apply, difficult to see any of the but finest dust and lasts a long time before re applying.
