D'Addario Helicore Octave Violin Single D String, Medium Tension (4/4 Scale)

Helicore Octave strings are designed to be tuned an octave below traditional violin tuning. The strings are therefore considerably thicker than traditional violin strings, so they require extra care to ensure proper installation.

Pros: Great strings! I have done a few gigs with these. Definitely worth trying out if you want something different.

Cons: As the strings are fairly thick in nature, you will need a viola or cello bow to get the best out of them.
