* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
Evah Pirazzi Gold strings have a synthetic multifilament fibre core. They produce a brilliant, golden tone with a full-bodied and big sound from the very bottom to the top of the register.
The great dynamic range of these strings allows skilled players to explore both the finest nuances of quiet passages and create powerful sonorities when playing close to the finger-board or using a strong bow arm.
Very short break-in time, even shorter than Evah Pirazzi and Obligato, combined with a very high level of tonal stability in all climatic conditions
Choice of G string windings. Gold G-string: This G-string is wound with a pure gold wire. It offers a round and full tone. Silver G-string: very dynamic sound which emphasises a more brilliant tone
4 x variations of the set, loop or ball E , and then gold or silver G.
Stainless Steel E-string: It has an excellent response and generates a refined and smooth sound right to the very top of the register.
Multi strand synthetic core. Ball or loop end E. Ball end A, D & G. All strings are medium tension and full size.
Below Pirastro explain the difference between the 3 Evah Pirazzi Offerings
Evah Pirazzi (2000): This set of strings is characterized by an overtone-rich, rather bright sound and a relatively strong background noise, which ensures carrying capacity, power and projection.
Evah Pirazzi Gold (2012): In contrast, these strings are designed to emphasize the warm, round and somewhat darker sound spectrum.
Evah Pirazzi Neo (2025): In this new development, the background noise of the original Evah Pirazzi is reduced while maintaining the strings’ full carrying capacity and power. Evah Pirazzi Neo is designed to combine effortless note and string transitions with easy response, tonal clarity and far-reaching projection.
Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Pros: As a string player for nearly 40 years, I have tried most brands of strings. Then, for the first time, I tried Evah Pirazzi Gold on one of my violins--an English instrument from around 1800, I was immediately impressed by the tone, volume and penetration I was getting and fellow musicians commented on it. Suddenly my violin was singing with a new voice above the rest. I am now fitting Evah Pirazzi gold to my other two fiddles. These strings are not cheap, but for me, they are the best.
Cons: It would be nit-picking to find anything I didn't like.

Pros: These strings have a bright tone. I play my violin regularly in an orchestra and in a trio professionally. I've found the strings have lasted in terms of keeping the same tone much longer than original flavour Evan pirazzi strings, not sure why this is though.
Cons: Nine

Good tuning stability and projection.
Pros: Tuning stability achieved after about four days. They are now very stable. Very little tuning required now.
Cons: Oh boy, are they loud! A ringing tone, and good projection if that is what you want.
Other: They have mellowed over the last couple of weeks and they are settling in well. G string produces good tone with little effort which is a plus. They are growing on me.
