Grade 8+
Stiff and well-balanced
Pros: These hybrid bows are stiff, and the balance point is close to the frog. Other than those two things, there's not much else to desire. I'm not a believer in bows changing a violin's sound much, especially after the hair and the rosin are taken into account. With my applied mathematician's hat on, my view is that a bow is just a flexible framework, and these bows have the right flexibilities in the right places.
Cons: The nickel windings need replacing with silver, but apart from that, I'm perfectly happy. Dare I deduct a mark for that? not really.
Other: I also have a Delille hybrid violin bow, which I'm using at the moment in preference to a Coda GX and a JonPaul Carrera supple.
