Description
Professional grade shoulder rest. Same as Kun original but with sliding width adjustment to allow exact positioning to personal taste. Made in Canada. Sliding foot width adjustment for very accurate positioning across the instrument. Will fit violas up to 24cm wide at the fitting point.

Pros: Lightweight. Easy to adjust. Comfortable. No rubber sleeves (which need replacing from time to time).
Cons: Does not hold onto the viola as securely as the Wolf rest. I bought this rest because I wanted a low shoulder rest (as my new viola is deeper than the old one) and I heard that it was not as high as the Wolf rest; unfortunately its lowest position is actually slightly higher than the Wolf's. The feet are harder than the wolf rubber sleeves -I am not sure whether they could damage delicate varnish.

Pros: I really like the size, it fits well on my viola and is a good fit for my shoulder shape as well. I had to buy extra-tall feet to go with it, but it was worth the purchase.
Cons: Needing to buy the extra long feet to go with it to fit my size. Should be an option to buy these with it. Also, it doesn't fit in my viola case.

Other: Kun shoulder rests have never let me down. On my previous violin the Kun slipped a little as it was slightly too big, but I have had no problems with this viola rest. Great product.

Simple to use - and it stays in place!
Pros: I'd previously borrowed one from a friend because I couldn't find a should rest that didn't fall off the viola at inopportune moments, and it worked well - it was pretty comfortable and stayed in place. So I ordered one of my own and am pretty happy with it. And there was nothing complicated to do when it arrived, all very simple.
Cons: Nothing so far!
