Full size, steel core string. The first choice of many professional players. The most popular professional grade cello strings. Big, warm sound with excellent focus and projection.
A and D strings are wound with a special precision rolled stainless steel flat wire. G and C strings are wound with tungsten, providing a deep, warm and focused sound with great power and personality. All four strings are offered in tensions soft, medium and strong.

Quality helps improvement.
Pros: Still bedding them in and looking forward to improving my technique with them and will continue to use them.
Cons: None
Other: The strings arrived pretty damned quick and in good order. I will be ordering another set to replace the spare set I already have, which are not as high a quality.

Even sound across the range
Pros: A much more even sound across the range compared with previous Jargar strings, but has to be said they were very old as I'm returning to playing after a gap of many years. My luthier put the strings on and adjusted the set up, all of which has made a big difference. Notice much bigger sound especially on G and C.
Cons: The open G doesn't reliably "sound" after several weeks of playing in, particularly when playing chords in Bach suites. But I'm honestly not sure if this is just a) a common problem I don't remember (I was never taught the "left hand pizz" trick by teachers in the 1980s and 1990s); b) that I haven't found the right rosin yet (trying Cecilia solo but not mad about it); c) rusty technique! Also was my Jargar A string maybe sweeter / richer in tone? Honestly not sure.
Other: Very good service on "next day delivery", during the xmas new year period. Ordered on 27th Dec, arrived to Northern Ireland on 31st. Just in time! Thank you.

If you can afford these strings the are worth it.
Pros: On my Granddaughts cello (4/4) I have fitted first Prelude strings. These sounded better than the factory strings. One year on I fitted a set of Jarger strings. These strings did sound better, (good A string ) Now another year on I have fitted a set of Larsen madium strings and WOW the cello has come to life. Have to tame the C string but its early days. I should have fitted Larsen strings two years ago, it would have saved me money.
Cons: The price put me off two years ago. ( I now know you get what you pay for.)
Other: My Granddaughter is grade 5+ and age 15
