Tin plated carbon steel. A traditional neutral E with bright, powerful sound. The standard E format on several Pirastro brands.

Pros: I have had no problems with this E - it blends well with the set, speaks easily, doesn't whistle and has plenty of colours so can cut through or blend smoothly into the background. Good dynamic range as well.

Pros: I've used Eudoxas for years, try something different from time to time but often come back to what I know best. I like the sound they produce I suppose
Cons: Nothing really. They are less susceptible to weather/room conditions than the lower strings so keep in tune better.
