The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Set of 4 in medium tension. Choice of steel or gold plated E. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.
Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.
The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.
Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups
E-Goldsteel option: This string is more brilliant and powerful sound than the Silvery Steel E-string. This string has a different sound profile from Oliv and Obligato Goldsteel E-strings.
Below Pirastro explain the difference between the 3 Evah Pirazzi Offerings
Evah Pirazzi (2000): This set of strings is characterized by an overtone-rich, rather bright sound and a relatively strong background noise, which ensures carrying capacity, power and projection.
Evah Pirazzi Gold (2012): In contrast, these strings are designed to emphasize the warm, round and somewhat darker sound spectrum.
Evah Pirazzi Neo (2025): In this new development, the background noise of the original Evah Pirazzi is reduced while maintaining the strings’ full carrying capacity and power. Evah Pirazzi Neo is designed to combine effortless note and string transitions with easy response, tonal clarity and far-reaching projection.
Professional
Great when working at their best
Pros: When at their best Evah Pirazzi help produce a big powerful, vibrant tone which is perfect for solo work but they also blend in when playing chamber music and playing as a member of an orchestra
Cons: The set can last well on some occasions but can loose their brilliance quite quickly (a couple of weeks on some occassions)
Other: When these strings work to their best they are brilliant. However I and several of my collegues have found the quality of the string it self very variable(the string winding breaking after only a couple of days on many occassions - NOT caused by a fault on the instrument)

Great strings at a great price!
Pros: The strings work very well on my violin and they sound really rich and full bodied.
Cons: They took a while to settle on my violin which means tuning problems, but that is partly to do with my violin as well.
Other: The String Zone were very helpful after the strings didn't arrive, by sending another set very promptly and accepting the extra set when it arrived.

bright sounding strings
Pros: These strings have a very bright sound and have made my violin sound so much better than it did before.
Cons: To get the best sound out of these strings I am finding that I have to play very close to the bridge which I wasn't used to with my old strings.

Good string experience!
Pros: Very simple: good price, quick delivery and highly convenient. The strings are of high quality and really help with my playing!
Cons: Mild surprise to find that the two sets of strings purchased (8 strings in all) were packaged together in the same wrapper. Not really an issue - but I had been used to each string being wrapped separately in the past.

Pleasing and reliable.
Pros: They play in very quickly - within 2 days they were settled and working well. Instant increase of depth to the sound in comparison with my old set - dominants, for financial reasons ;) - and very even sound across the four strings, though i'm not convinced this is a good thing!
Cons: Shelling out £50+ for a set of strings is inevitable, yet always a bit of a shock. The gold E doesn't improve the tone considerably enough to warrant a special mention...
Other: They arrived promptly and in fine condition.
