* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
A universal string of great quality suitable all types of instrument and player standard Obligato strings sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range

Pros: Compared with my previous set ( Olive label ) they impress as quicker to respond, brighter and easier to play in high positions. They play in quickly and don't stretch as much making tuning easier.
Cons: The sound produced is not as rich as the gut cored strings but the difference is small.

Pros: nice sounding, more mellow than the strings that were on my (student) violin when I bought it. though being a beginner the difference is still quite subtle to me!
Cons: needed constant re-tuning in the first week, but i think that's standard for new strings?..

Pros: The sound is full and warm. I used to have gut strings that I really liked, and these are comparable. I think they make my not terribly expensive violin sound as good as it can.In fact now I'm thinking about upgrading my instrument as well.
Cons: Nothing not to like apart from the price. but then when I think how much my piano costs to tune it puts it into perspective. So long as they last a while I'm happy.
Other: I was recommended to buy these by a professional performer and I trust her judgement.

Pros: Very full sound, very respnsive and fast break in time. I think they have a very rich tone, and it is possible to produce a wide range of gradations.
Cons: They aren't cheap. Their performance depends very much on the fidddle - well, based on a statistcially relevant sample of 2. On two quite similar violins, the obligatos produced a lot of sound, but on the louder of the two violins, they were quite brash initially, though that does Appear to be tempering with time.

Pros: Beautiful warm tones Stays in tune fairly well A big improvement on the Dominant strings
Cons: Maybe a bit expensive
Other: Be careful putting the strings on and keep an eye on the bridge positioning so that it doesn't snap from uneven tension

Pros: Lovely sound
Cons: Nothing
Other: Really pleased I took up another player's recommendation for these strings. Had always played on dominant before and these are most definitely superior - a lovely rounded sound.
