* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
A universal string of great quality suitable all types of instrument and player standard Obligato strings sound warm and full, yet have a brilliant, rich overtone spectrum and focused tone. Excellent playability and response throughout the entire dynamic range

Pros: Very rich and warm tone, and a fair amount of volume too.
Cons: I think these strings tend to lose their tone quicker than other similarly priced stings of the same type.

Nice Mellow Strings
Pros: Great sounding strings - best strings for my fiddle that I’ve found. Not too pricey and they have a good shelf life as well.
Cons: Nothing really
Other: I’ve struggled to find strings that sit well on my fiddle as most sound very trebley as not very mellow - but these strings do and they pair very nicely with my fiddle which is otherwise difficult to pair strings with

Glad I tried obligato strings
Pros: Have used pirastro eudoxa strings for years but was having a lot of problems with tuning. A combination of new pegs and new strings and my tuning problems are resolved. So happy to be able to focus on the music without worrying about strings slipping out of tune
Cons: None

Wonderful quality strings
Pros: Excellent strings which produce a clean sound and allows the violin's innate qualities to shine through. It has enough power for my needs and is responsive when playing really softly.
Cons: The E string tends to whistle quite easily. It seems to need a fair bit of weight on the string for it to sound. I have changed to a wound E string on my violin, which seems to balance the other Obigato strings better than the stock string.
