Description
Pirastro Oliv viola string, D, silver on gut. For a slightly brighter sound than the gold-aluminium D. The string is also thinner.
Medium tension strings are designed for a vibrating length of 37cm. For a shorter vibrating length consider using high tension, for a longer vibrating length consider using low tension strings.
Recommended for violas with a playing scale of 35-38cm which covers most violas of back length 15-16.5 inches
Please note. This string does NOT have a ball end and is not suitable for use in a fine tuner. Please ensure this product meets your requirements prior to purchase.

Pros: These are the finest strings with the full range of colours that are needed by a professional player
Cons: they are very susceptible to temperature and atmosphere change and therefore need constant tuning
