Description
'New Formula' quality student string similar to Dominant with the benefit of a silver D. Medium tension, ball end only. For loop end E please order each string separately.
To check your instrument size measure the length of the back (LOB) excluding the 'button' which is the thumb shaped extension at the top where the neck is anchored. Old instruments can vary, if more than 1/2" over choose the next size up.

Excellent strings at a nice price
Pros: Super value and they suit one of my fiddles that is a bit fussy about what strings it will tolerate. An excellent alternative to some of the more expensive strings, without compromising on tone or quality. not yet sure of their durability but seem fine after a month or so. Recommended if you want a quality sound without breaking the bank.
Cons: They do take a bit longer than average to settle in as they stretch over the first few days but not likely to be a problem for most.

Pros: I really like Pirastro strings and fitted these to a student's violin to replace really poor quality steel strings. The difference in tone quality was remarkable especially when using Pirastro Tonica rosin. The price is good and they can easily improve an entry level violin.

Pros: Great tone. Bright in a good way but with the woody sound we all love. Settle in pretty quick. Very long lasting. No squeaking on the E string. Minimal paper packaging. Funky red and white at the ball end and colour coded at the other. Great price for a synthetic.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Impressed with sound and price
Pros: Beautiful sound. A real improvement to the factory strings and I will be putting another set on my new intermediate violin once I've played it in. A very cheap way to improve a beginner violin and I think it will enhance a better quality violin.

Other: I am very impressed with these strings. They make a beginner level violin sound really good.
