* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
Violino are professional quality synthetic cored strings which combine the qualities of Evah Pirazzi and Obligato but with a lower tension for a warm, easy sound. A great value modern string. Highly recommended for all types of instrument. Available in full size only.
Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Warm tone to add depth to a bright instrument

Pros: Violino strings add real depth and warmth to my violin, which has an inherently bright tone. Being low tension, they are easy on the left hand fingertips, allow for greater exploration of tone colour, and allow the instrument to resonate a bit more freely than with higher tension strings.
Cons: Despite the rich tone these strings afford, they lack some power in fortissimo playing. The G in particular lacks the kind of power one might wish for in a piece such as Ravel's Tzigane, for example.
Other: They work great on my bright violin, but may sound dull on a more mellow instrument. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for more depth of sound!

Pros: The Violino strings took the excessive brightness off my violin, which was the reason I tried them, so "did exactly what it said on the tin"
Cons: They took a little while to stabilise in terms of holding their pitch, which is why I didn't go for five stars - four and a half is probably about right.

Pros: Very good price and well packed. Very good service as usual from String Zone.
Cons: Not very comfortable under my fingers.Unfortunately compared with tonica my presrnt violin string
Other: Cheaper snd for me preferable are Proo Arte and Prelude strings

Softer strings with an even rounded tone.
Pros: I have put these on a fairly bright violin, which has good volume. I wanted some of the tone of Eudoxa gut strings, but with less expense and hassle. I still haven't quite played the strings in, but so far I like them. Lowish tension, even sound across the strings and not as bright or 'punchy' as the Zyex they replaced. There is still a slight metallic edge on the A, but it's not offensive and I think it will soften. I think they will suit the violin nicely. Good value and they are a good price.
Cons: No downside as yet.

Professional
Durable fair sounding strings
Pros: They are fairly good sturdy strings under normal conditions; certain resistan e totemperature and humidity changes. But like any other strings, and instruments, where extractors, air con and the like are causing heay vibrations through the building structure, there is no remedy for changes in pitch whatever you try to do. That it is not the fault of the strings, nor instrument, though. Same can be said for pitch changes in the presence of electronica - strong wifi, or GPS, forward radar (i.e. if you are working in spaces with little against what goes on outside). Basically, no string is immune to ANY of those factores. :(
Cons: -
Other: Fantastically and unexpectedly fast delivery service over New Year Period (UK delivery). Many thanks
