Review of Warchal Russian Style Violin String, A

Todmorden, Calderdale, United Kingdom

Keen Amateur

Fills a gap but go synthetic if you can

Pros: Sounds great Initially, super loud and yet still warm. Easy on the fingers. Stays in tune well as with all metals.

Cons: Doesn’t take long until getting harsh or a little squeaky so that you have to be careful with how you play. I’d expect it to be much more durable. I’ve played 2 of these now, I can’t say it’s durable and the price is getting out of the worth it range. It’s not far off other steel A’s out there really and way more expensive. Both sound pretty nasally after a while. Much better synthetic strings on offer with similar responsiveness as metal now.
