Stentor Student II Viola Outfit

The Stentor Student range has a long established reputation as an ideal beginner instrument. Adjusted and prepared in our workshop.

The Student II is handmade from solid tonewoods with ebony fingerboard and ebony or rosewood pegs. Individually adjusted in our workshop these instruments are guaranteed 'ready to play' and offer the enthusiastic beginner a proper viola at a realistic price and can be used with confidence to at least Grade 5 AB level.

Outfit consists of instrument fully prepared and ready to play. Strong wooden bow with ebony frog and natural horsehair. Block of rosin. Lightweight case with full music pocket and rucksack straps.

This means that the instrument is worked on & improved by the luthier in our workshop before despatch. We adjust the bridge & nut for correct height, curvature & string spacing. Tailpiece and pegs are adjusted for smooth operation. In the case of outfits, the bow is rosined and checked for smooth adjustment.
