Description
Stradpet titanium alloy chinrest clamp in gun grey or polished finish for full size and 3/4 violin.
Titanium clamps are hypoallergenic, superlight and will not rust or corrode. The individual clamps provide even and secure clamping of the chinrest with minimum contact on the instrument. Ideal for those who find chrome plated brackets irritating to the skin. Suitable for use with a large range of wooden and plastic chinrests.

Pros: Non nickel (I understand). Nice just having 2 'I' shaped pieces rather than a bigger 'U' shaped piece of metal on the instrument (so long as it proves its worth and stays put securely)
Cons: Difficult to tighten correctly to prevent it moving around on the instrument. The man that fitted it for me wasn't convinced that it is titanium. It is very cheap when compared to alternatives. I will wait and see if I get any reaction to the metal.
Beginner
Easy installation one leg at a time.
Pros: Nice little piece of kit. I had a second hand chin rest that was showing signs of not doing what it was told, and spliting the one clamp into two smply meant I could solve the problem without much thinking. Looks good too.
