Thomastik strings for a Big Fat Sound
Pros: These are great strings for Rockabilly/ Rock'n'Roll and Jazz bass playing giving a big fat sound without being too harsh on the fingers, obviously not being gut you will get blisters at first using steel strings but it's worth it for the big sound you get, Great value for money and lasting ages with being able to withstand months of hard playing and brutal slapping.. I thoroughly recommend Thomastik strings, I have used them for years.
Cons: Nothing.
Other: If you're a beginner you will get some big blisters playing these to start with... But, No Pain..... No Gain..

Thomastik Superflexible Double Bass Strings Rock!!
Pros: These strings can take one hell of a beating, stay in tune and still sound great.... Never broke one yet, they tend to unwrap before they snap..... Great for Rock'a'Billy slap bass work..
Cons: Pricey...
