Pros: For those of us who remember that the viola is not a violin, a quality synthetic A is a good reliable alternative to gut and produces a warm sound as opposed to the many steel strings that are far too bright
Cons: None
Other: The tension of this A string is very compatible with synthetic D strings and hence playing between the strings is seamless and very comfortable on the fingers
Keen Amateur
Nice steel AString
Pros: Bright string with good projection . If synthetic A is feeling just not enough then the steel A fills that well , this A string has warmth too so it’s not overpowering very nice string
Cons: Nothing
Other: Setttles quickly I use hills fine tuner make sure the fine tuner is very smooth no sharp edges or use a protector
Beginner
Excellent quality on a budget.
Pros: Good quality and price
Cons: The loop was an experiment, most people should be OK with the ball instead.
Other: The Karneol range belies it's low price when it comes to quality. It's got a good solid tone, but for some instruments it might be too bright. Still a good tone.
