Description

Zyex Composite synthetic core strings produce an extremely warm, rich sound.

Zyex is a new generation of synthetic material, creating strings that are extremely stable under drastic climatic conditions. Zyex strings settle in on the instrument very fast, within a matter of hours.

Zyex has a warmer sound than most other synthetic core strings, and they have excellent projection, making them exceptional for soloist use as well as symphonic and for calming down the tone of very bright instruments.

Best Buy strings give full sound and stay in tune.

Pros: I consider these strings a Best Buy - they deliver full rich clean sound, last a long time and rarely need re-tuning. A few years ago I started playing my viola again after a 30+ years gap and I really liked them for the the foregoing reasons. (Now I've moved on to Pirastro Obligato which admittedly are more professional standard). I bought these Xyex for my son's good quality violin (he's in gap years!) and, yes, they sound really fine so I've taken up the violin as well. Defintely recommended.

Nice sound but need to be a little more robust.

Pros: I like the tone and warmth of these strings. They work well on my fiddle

Cons: On two occasions the aluminium winding on the A string has failed after 2-3 months of moderate use.
