Pros: My first trial of Melos light: the tone produced seems clearer, has more 'heart' or 'core' than I get while using the Melos dark. Well worth trying and the cloth bag is much better than having it in a box.
Cons: None
Other: Although Melos is a minimal dust rosin the light produces slightly more dust than the dark and does make me sneeze.

Pros: A lovely neat package of rosin, it's a beautiful colour when you unwrap it from its protective cloth. That's irrelevant to the sound of course, and moving from Hidersine 3V rosin I found a subtle but significant difference. The bow grip feels smoother, like the rosin's made of smaller bits, and my control of tone through the interaction of hair and string is just that bit easier.
Cons: Because it's not in a tin, you have to be very careful with it to avoid damage to the rosin block which has a few cracks and crumbles around the edges already. I will have to get something solid to keep it in, well-padded, to avoid shattering it by accident.
Other: I also use Melos rosin for my bass viola da gamba, and I was delighted to find that the modern violin rosin is of equal quality, bringing much the same change in playing characteristics as when I changed viol rosin.

Pros: Not a lot however it does come in a nice bag...
Cons: I really feel rather the odd one out here but my experience so far with this stuff is not good. It seems to have the general appearance of Korean Best without the staying power of A B yet I need to apply a lot of it to get it to stay on the bow. I know everyone seems to love this Rosin but sadly it's not for me.

Pros: A top quality rosin that gives good grip with the minimum of powder residue. With good hair the bow feels smooth on the string. Comes in a nice material pouch
Cons: Nothing so far.
Other: A fair price.
