Works very well to keep your music on the stand
Pros: The extra back to front width and the grooves allows you to put a pile of orchestral music on this shelf extender without it falling off, and you can turn pages easily!
Cons: This one was bought as a back up to the identical shelf extender that I already have as I know from experience that they can snap suddenly (this is why I have given 4 stars rather than 5) Also no good if you have a stand with the wire bits to keep the music on.

Really useful for orchestral or band work
Pros: It very effectively extends the "shelf" of ordinary music stands
Cons: Nothing - but being plastic it will not last forever.
Other: I have used one for years without taking care of it and eventually they snap in the centre - but can still be used in two halves if you are too poor to afford a new one. Ordered 2 this time - 1 in reserve for each music stand.

Pros: My music book kept falling off the music stand before I bought the ledge as there is so much music in it and the ledge holds it firmly now.
Cons: My music stand had arms to hold the music (there is another name for them but I can't remember what it is!). I removed them but it was difficult to push the ledge over the place where they had been, but I can manage to with effort.
Other: Excellent customer service! I didn't have to wait long from the time it was ordered online, to the time it arrived and there were no problems at all.
