Adaptable

Pros: It is possible to shape the shoulder rest to fit the contours of your own body for comfort

Cons: None

Other: like all shoulder pads with grippers, they sometimes shift position or fall off. An elastic band is useful.

A very flexible and effective shoulder rest

Pros: The flexibility of forming the rest - in particular the fact that it can be bent and that the height adjustments are considerable.

Cons: The rubber covers that grip the violin seem to me as though they would perish over time and need replacing.

Just the job!

Pros: Easy height adjustment to fit my long neck.

Cons: Nothing negative to say. It is exactly what I was expecting.

Top quality, lifetime shoulder rest.

Pros: This was purchased for an adult pupil who wanted me to order it for him. I've had the same wolf shoulder rest for the last 30 years - it's still going strong. Just renew the rubber feet every couple of years.

Cons: There's absolutely nothing not to like. They're very adjustable, and it'll probably outlive me!

Good rest, unless you have a screw loose...!
1 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: Bought this to replace an old, worn out, but otherwise identical rest that I'd used for many years... Can't believe I waited so long! So much more padding- I'm back to using it on it's minimum setting. V pleased.

Cons: One of the screws was loose & rattling. When I tightened it, the screw head came off! Seems to be holding together fine tho. Hopefully this will last as long as the old one did!

A good choice of vendor and a good choice of rest.

Pros: it is flexible, well padded and comfortable to use

Cons: Nothing

Other: I was very pleased with the String Zone. The price of the shoulder rest was competitive and it was well packed and arrived quickly.

Is this a delivery record?

Pros: Another new violin, another new shoulder rest. Ordered yesterday afternoon, arrived on the doorstep at 8am today. Impressive.

Cons: None.

Second Secondo.

Pros: Almost infinitely adjustable, and much tougher than it looks. The freedom of the shoulder pad to take up whatever angle your anatomy, or clothing, dictates seems to me to be a strong positive.

Cons: None

Other: The two violins that I use are just sufficiently different in size to make the rest, adjusted properly for the wider one, a bit too loose on the slightly narrower one, so I bought a second rest. This relieves me of having to fiddle about with the (admirably) very stiff sliding adjuster and its locking screw, or put up with the occasional disengagement, when I change violins.
