Universally popular violin shoulder rest. Curved shape, height adjustable on both sides from 0.5cm to 8cm. The first choice of many players for over 40 years. Wide variation in fit from flexible base plate, compound leg bolt for maximum height adjustment. Folding legs.
1/2 & 1/4 Violin 'Standard' model : this cheaper option provides the same popular shoulder rest but without the adjustable, screw legs.

Pros: Upgrade from Wolf Forte Primo on teacher's recommendation: its curved shape helps against slouching. Indeed the Secondo is much more comfortable.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Other: Well made, fast delivery and excellent compact packaging (it actually fit through the letterbox!)

good buy good price
Pros: nice fit to neck;new ones are nice and grippy
Cons: old ones tend just to need new rubber feet,or a new rubber pad-the former rather pricey, the pad not available;cheaper and easier to buy a new one and throw the old one away.pity
Other: good buy;good price

Excellent all round shoulder rest
Pros: Simplicity and comfort
Cons: None
Other: Bought this for my son as he moved up from a 1/2 to 3/4 sidze violin before taking his Grade 4 exam. Had the smaller size Secondo rest on the previous violin and didn't even consider using a different model on the 3/4

A much more adjustable shoulder rest than most
Pros: This is a much more adjustable rest than I have used before. I have a long neck and this rest allows me to play without lifting my shoulder. i am very pleased with it.I now have a better chance of improving my playing!
Cons: Nothing I don't like.
