Universally popular violin shoulder rest. Curved shape, height adjustable on both sides from 0.5cm to 8cm. The first choice of many players for over 40 years. Wide variation in fit from flexible base plate, compound leg bolt for maximum height adjustment. Folding legs.
1/2 & 1/4 Violin 'Standard' model : this cheaper option provides the same popular shoulder rest but without the adjustable, screw legs.

A good choice of vendor and a good choice of rest.
Pros: it is flexible, well padded and comfortable to use
Cons: Nothing
Other: I was very pleased with the String Zone. The price of the shoulder rest was competitive and it was well packed and arrived quickly.

Second Secondo.
Pros: Almost infinitely adjustable, and much tougher than it looks. The freedom of the shoulder pad to take up whatever angle your anatomy, or clothing, dictates seems to me to be a strong positive.
Cons: None
Other: The two violins that I use are just sufficiently different in size to make the rest, adjusted properly for the wider one, a bit too loose on the slightly narrower one, so I bought a second rest. This relieves me of having to fiddle about with the (admirably) very stiff sliding adjuster and its locking screw, or put up with the occasional disengagement, when I change violins.

Comfortable, adaptable shoulder rest.
Pros: I like the ability to vary the height and position of the rest and the fact that it does not damage or scratch the instrument (which used to happen with older rests).
Cons: Cannot think of any cons.
Other: Impressed with the quick delivery time.

perfect for me
Pros: Soft, compliant and comfortable. Does not move about or fall off like the old one did. I wish I had found it sooner. Makes playing a pleasure as it doesn't dig into my chest.
Cons: None really - maybe the instructions could be clearer on how to assemble it.
