Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Set of 4 in medium tension. Choice of steel or gold plated E. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

E-Goldsteel option: This string is more brilliant and powerful sound than the Silvery Steel E-string. This string has a different sound profile from Oliv and Obligato Goldsteel E-strings.

Loop E string snapped almost immediately.

Pros: Evan Pirazzi’s suit my violin well and make a good sound.

Cons: The gold loop E string snapped at the loop two days after I put the string on.

Not for everyone.

Pros: They are quite loud

Cons: Didn't suit my violin at all or my type of music- ( Folk Rock/IrishTrad/Americana) very harsh when amplified and slow to respond. Maybe they would improve if played in for a long time but I had gigs to do wo went back to Helicore .

Evah Pirazzi - noticeably better than the average.

Pros: After trying other makes of string on a fairly good (but not professional standard) fiddle, these brought out a fuller and more even tone from the instrument for my playing (amateur folk fiddler). Somewhat more expensive than the usual brand, but worth the extra cost.

Cons: None

Violin strings.

Pros: Efficient and prompt service. Strings reliable and good qualty.

Cons: G string was defective.

Dynamic strings - solid, reliable performance.

Pros: Warm, rich, dynamic sound that makes my violin sound fab. I've used these for a long time and I thought I'd try something different...what a mistake! Never again! I'm sticking to Evah Pirazzi in future.

Cons: Nothing.

Jury is still out

Pros: Strings with a powerful sound, they took a couple of days to play in

Cons: Not sure they suit my modern violin (Thomas Hoyer 2014) they lack warmth. I may go back to Obligato's

Other: I may go back to Obligato's having previously also tried the Larsen Virtuoso strings. This is costing me a fortune it may be cheaper to change my violin.

Professional

Vibrant & expensive

Pros: These strings respond with so much life - they work equally well on my acoustic and my electric, both instruments sound better

Cons: Price is inhibiting. If they weren't in the sale I'm not sure I'd be so pro these strings! Even then other professionals tell me there are cheaper yet equal alternatives...
