Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Set of 4 in medium tension. Choice of steel or gold plated E. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

E-Goldsteel option: This string is more brilliant and powerful sound than the Silvery Steel E-string. This string has a different sound profile from Oliv and Obligato Goldsteel E-strings.

Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Great set of strings.

Pros: Really nice set of strings - excellent projection, response and just enough complexity to the sound, although in my opinion the newer "Gold" has more depth and warmth without sacrificing much in volume of sound. Still, I would recommend trying the Evah Pirazzi greens out first as they are a bit more affordable in the long run. The gold E is preferrable over the normal steel one - rounder, more brilliant tone, especially in the higher registers.

Great

Pros: Settled in really quickly. Second set I’ve bought - first lot lasted 3.5 years but I’m a folk - session/home player. Definitely the best strings I’ve ever had on my cheap fiddle. Even tone across the strings - definitely the nicest E I’ve had.

Cons: Nothing - pricey but worth it

Too high tension for my 7/8 violin

Pros: I have tried them in the past on a full size violin and they were very loud and responsive

Cons: Didnt suit my 7/8 violin

Other: Always use the Eva E string on all violins ,it has a good ring and tone

Very distinctive but not an 'easy play'

Pros: One of the best E strings I've used in many years playing. Very clear , bold and responsive. In general I think the strings are worth paying that bit more for. Nice complex, powerful sound.

Cons: Took a little longer to settle than some strings and seem to be somewhat temperamental (environmental effects, type of rosin, bow condition ?) than less characterful brands.

Other: Excellent, though may not suit everyone.
